Today, January 18th, 2012, marks the largest internet protest in history. Thousands of sites across the web, including some of the largest in the world, will be blacking out and directing people to contact Congress to kill the web censorship bill, SOPA and PIPA.

Click here to view the the full text of the SOPA bill. Wikipedia, Google, Craiglist, Wordpress, Pinterest, Etsy and Tumblr are just a few of many huge websites that have either blacked out and posted a message stating how to oppose this bill. Google’s “End Piracy, Not Liberty” page, which is shown on the google homepage, includes a petition against these acts.

No matter if you are for or against these bills, it is important to educate yourselves. Have a say in the decision!
