Then we found Matt Butler’s Etsy site (click here) and we were blown away! He makes some pretty neat things. Best part? Right now you can get FREE SHIPPING for one week only! Do it! All pieces are hand printed from carved linoleum blocks, giving each pair unique and individual characteristics. TOMS are perfect for Summer as well…is it Summer yet? He’s on Facebook too! Happy Wednesday! We love braids over here are ABD and this hair style from Madewell’s Spring catalog is to die for. The good news? They posted a “hair how-to” on their blog!

Here’s how it’s done:

1. First, create a deep side part and start your French braid from there. Remember to keep it loose.
2. Continue the braid down the side of your hairline, being careful not to poach too much hair from the center region of your head.
3. Once you’ve rounded down to the nape of your neck, you can start incorporating the hair from the center of your hair into your braid. Make sure to save a section on the opposite side of your head to be braided later.
4. Once the nape of your neck is complete, you can start working your way up the opposite side.
5. Finish off with a standard braid, again keeping it loose.
6. Tie the end with a rubber band.
7. Tuck the end underneath the overlapping original braid and secure with a bobby pin. Go back and add texture by gently rubbing some breezy fly-away pieces into the braid. Don’t forget that you can redefine the shape of your braid with bobby pins when you’re finished.

If you find yourself getting a little too wrapped up in studying for finals or stressing over fitting everything in before the end of the year, just step back a few million miles and take a breather. Filmmaker Sander van den Berg has made it easy with this video, which uses images from the NASA Cassini and Voyager missions.

The realization of cosmic insignificance may be upsetting, but these worlds in motion are also inspiring in a big way. That’s just the kind of paradox I love.
